South Africa Highlights - 15 days - £2200

Join us on a voyage of discovery through the many and varied faces of Africa. We begin on the High Veld and the wonders of the natural landscapes before arriving at the Kruger National Park.

We will set off in search of the “big five” in the game reserve before flying on to the Cape Coast and the wonderful city of Cape Town. Along the way we will experience some of every day life in this enigmatic country of contrasts. This tour follows the successful holiday to South Africa in 2005 but has been even more tailored to our clients’ needs with significant enhancements to the itinerary and travel arrangements. As is usual for such holidays, we have included many excursions and entrances in the price which other companies often treat as extras.

Your Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Heathrow Airport for your overnight flight to Johannesburg.

Day 2: Transfer to your hotel – Rosebank Hotel.

Day 3: Drive to Pretoria and overnight stay in Pilgrims Rest – Royal Hotel.

Day 4: Visit to Bourkes Luck Potholes and God’s Window, the spectacular Blyde River Canyon before continuing to the edge of Kruger Park and our hotel for the next two nights – Protea Hazyview.

Day 5: Full day safari in Kruger Park.

Day 6: We make our way back to Johannesburg – Rosebank Hotel.

Day 7: Flight to Port Elizabeth and continue by coach to Plettenburg Bay and two nights accommodation at NH Plettenburg.

Day 8: A cruise followed by lunch and a visit to Featherbed Nature Reserve.

Day 9: Morning visit to Knysna Elephant Park, continue to Oudtshoorn. Lunch and tour of the ostrich farm before a visit to Cango Caves. Overnight in Oudtshoorn – Queens Hotel.

Day 10: To Cape Town – President Hotel.

Day 11: To Table Mountain and a city tour of Cape Town – President Hotel.

Day 12: Cape Winelands with lunch and a wine tasting at Spier Village. This afternoon we visit the Hugenot Memorial and Africaans Language Monument – President Hotel.

Day 13: Full day tour of the Peninsular with a visit to the Cape of Good Hope, Boulders Beach. The historic naval village of Simon’s own, Hout Bay and a cruise to Seal Island – President Hotel.

Day 14: A day at leisure before we transfer to Cape Town International for our overnight flight to Heathrow.

Day 15: A morning arrival at Heathrow and transfer home.
